About the Role:

​

We are looking for a proactive and detail-driven IT Asset Coordinator to elevate our IT Asset Management (ITAM) capability.

 

In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring full visibility, compliance, and lifecycle control of IT assets across the business. You will work to identify gaps, drive data accuracy, and support smarter operational and financial decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

IT Asset Management  and Compliance

• Monitor and resolve asset exceptions (e.g., missing devices, unknown assets, inactive agents)

• Ensure accurate asset allocation to business units and cost centres

• Manage IT asset leases and coordinate lifecycle activities (renewals, replacements)

Inventory and Audit​

• Perform regular reconciliations between ITAM systems and actual assets

• Support internal and external audits

• Maintain accurate asset records (tagging, serial numbers, locations)

​

Operational Support

• Manage asset-related tickets (SysAid or similar)

• Support onboarding/offboarding processes

• Coordinate repairs, warranties, and procurement with relevant teams

• Escalate non-compliant or inactive devices (Intune)

Reporting and Insights​

• Produce regular dashboards and reports on asset compliance and visibility

• Analyse asset data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities

​

Skills and Attributes

• Strong Excel and reporting capability

• High attention to detail and data accuracy

• Solid communication and stakeholder management skills

• Ability to manage deadlines and work under pressure

Requirements:

​​

Education

• Matric (Grade 12)

• Diploma in IT, Information Systems, or related field

• ITIL or ITAM certification (advantageous)

​

Experience

• 2–4 years in IT Asset Management or similar

• Experience with ITAM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, SysAid, etc.)

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Exposure to asset compliance, audits, and lifecycle management
